Auburn at Montgomery (AUM)
Decision sheet

Alabama · Research checked 2026-06-07 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

AUM runs a fully automatic, no-application freshman merit ladder of $2,000-$10,000/year (8 tiers) set on superscore + a 3.0 GPA (2.5 for the entry tier), but the ladder awards do NOT stack with each other — you get the single highest one you qualify for.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 10 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Outstanding Scholars Award

$10,000 per year ($40,000 over 4 years) · Published award terms

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: 3.0 · SAT: 1400 · ACT: 30

Eligibility: First-time, full-time freshman entering AUM in the Fall directly from high school; face-to-face programs only; superscore used (best ACT/SAT)

Renewal: Renewable for up to four years contingent on full-time enrollment and a maintained minimum cumulative institution GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Other terms: Top tier of the automatic, non-competitive freshman grid. No separate application — awarded automatically on superscore + GPA. Does NOT stack with the other grid tiers; you receive only the single highest award you qualify for.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: AUM's eight automatic freshman grid scholarships do NOT stack with each other — a student receives only the single highest grid award they qualify for. The AUM Freshman Leadership Scholarship is the explicit exception: it may be combined with other freshman academic scholarships, but NOT with Deichelmann. No official AUM page was found stating how third-party OUTSIDE scholarships displace institutional aid.
