Drew
Decision sheet

New Jersey · Research checked 2026-06-03 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Drew auto-awards one of four named academic scholarships ($15,000-$27,000) with no published GPA grid, and — unusually — protects your merit award from outside scholarships unless your total aid exceeds the full cost of attendance.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 6 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Named Academic Scholarships (Francis Asbury, Presidential, Dean's, Drew)

$15,000-$27,000 per year · Published range

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Based on previous academic achievement; no public GPA grid published (needs confirmation)

Eligibility: All first-year applicants considered automatically; no separate application; awarded at time of admission

Renewal: Renewable at the initial amount awarded, assuming no major changes in college tuition charges, contingent on satisfactory academic progress and continued full-time enrollment (flat — no escalation).

Other terms: One of four named scholarships is awarded; the page does not publish which GPA/test thresholds map to which scholarship or amount.

Transfer Scholarship

$15,000-$23,000 per year · Published range

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Based on academic achievement; no public grid

Eligibility: Transfer applicants considered automatically

Renewal: Renewable for up to two additional years at the initial amount, assuming no major change in tuition charges and contingent on SAP.

Other terms: Distinct transfer track.

Baldwin Honors Scholarship

$3,000 per year · Published amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

GPA: 3.5 to retain

Eligibility: Indicate interest in the Baldwin Honors Program on the admission application; invitation upon admission

Renewal: Retained by maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher and remaining active in the Baldwin Honors curriculum.

Other terms: In addition to other merit and need-based aid; a 3.5 GPA cliff applies to keep the $3,000.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Favorable to merit holders: outside scholarships first fill unmet need, then may reduce self-help (work-study/loans). Drew need-based grants are reduced only if total scholarships+grants exceed financial need. Outside awards have NO impact on Drew merit scholarships unless total grants+scholarships exceed the cost of attendance (a COA cap that protects merit).

The research date is not a guarantee that a policy still applies. Confirm current amounts, deadlines and conditions with the school before making a financial decision.
