Eligibility: Invitation-only consideration; meeting requirements does not guarantee eligibility or award. Priority consideration for applications submitted on or before February 1. Valid processed FAFSA required before disbursement.

Renewal: Renewal GPA 3.5 (per Institutional Scholarship Policy); academic standing reviewed each semester; if in good standing the scholarship is automatically renewed for the following year.

Other terms: Closest thing to a full ride FMU publishes; housing component covers double occupancy only.

Academic Excellence Scholarship

Blue and Orange Scholarship

Eligibility: Invitation-only consideration; priority if submitted on or before February 1.

Renewal: The policy page lists renewal GPAs only for Presidential Honors (3.5), Academic Excellence (3.25), Academic Achievement (3.0), and Transfer (3.0); 'Blue and Orange' is not named there — renewal GPA unconfirmed (general good standing is 2.0).

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Institutional scholarships never pay out as cash: credit-balance refunds are prohibited, and any credit balance is reduced by the amount of any outside scholarship or grant — so outside money displaces institutional scholarship dollars once charges are covered. Housing-inclusive scholarships cover double occupancy only.
