Loyola New Orleans
Decision sheet

Louisiana · Research checked 2026-07-02 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Jesuit private in New Orleans where every admitted student is automatically considered for merit aid up to full tuition, with a separate competitive Ignatian Scholarship covering full tuition, fees, housing, and meals.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

The 2 awards in this school's research. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Academic Merit Scholarship (automatic)

Up to full tuition (tier amount varies with stats) · Variable or qualified amount

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

Eligibility: Awarded with the admission decision; no separate scholarship application. Loyola does not publish individual tier names or dollar bands on its public site; ask Admissions for your specific tier.

Renewal: Renewable for four years or eight academic semesters per the published scholarship page.

Other terms: Loyola NOLA is unusual in not publishing a public tier ladder. The award amount appears on the student's admission decision letter rather than on the scholarship page.

Ignatian Scholarship

Full tuition and fees plus on-campus housing and meal plan allowance · Published coverage or package

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

GPA: 3.75+ weighted or unweighted GPA · ACT: 30+ ACT (or 1360+ SAT)

Eligibility: Separate application required by December 1. Recipients are automatically admitted to the University Honors Program.

Renewal: Four-year award with service expectations and continued academic standing.

Other terms: Loyola NOLA's top competitive award. The dollar value is much larger than the automatic merit ceiling because it explicitly covers room and board on top of tuition and fees.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?
