Miami (Ohio)
Decision sheet

Ohio · Research checked 2026-07-02 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Ohio's 'Public Ivy' with one of the cleanest published stat-to-dollar merit tables in higher education — four weighted-GPA bands from $3,000 to $8,000 for Ohio residents and $6,000 to $20,000 for non-residents, plus a full-ride Presidential Fellows Program and an Ohio Governor's Scholarship covering one top student from each of Ohio's 88 counties.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 6 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Weighted high school GPA of 4.30 or higher

Eligibility: No separate application; auto-considered through the admission application. Test scores NOT required — Miami is test-blind for first-year admissions and merit. Apply by December 1 priority deadline.

Renewal: Renewable for the standard four-year track. Specific renewal GPA published per scholarship in the offer letter.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Scholarships covering tuition and fees may be reduced when additional aid covers the same charges or when total funding exceeds cost of attendance - two distinct triggers, one of which can bind below full COA.

The research date is not a guarantee that a policy still applies. Confirm current amounts, deadlines and conditions with the school before making a financial decision.
