Muskingum
Decision sheet

Ohio · Research checked 2026-07-02 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

DRAFT: Muskingum pairs an automatic GPA/curriculum-based academic scholarship program (grid published only as an image) with a competitive full-tuition John Glenn Scholarship earned through its on-campus Scholarship Day program — but caps total Muskingum-funded aid at 75% of tuition for everyone except John Glenn winners.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 7 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Academic Scholarships (First-Year)

Amount not published · Published award terms

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Based on strength of high school curriculum and GPA (specific grid published only as an image)

Eligibility: Application for admission serves as the scholarship application

Renewal: Muskingum Academic Scholarship renewal requires a 2.5 cumulative GPA per the Scholarship & Award Provisions chart. Amounts remain constant for the duration of attendance.

Other terms: The award grid itself is published only as an image file (First Year Scholarships 24.png), so dollar tiers and exact GPA cutoffs could not be extracted as text. Amounts not published in machine-readable form.

Transfer Academic Scholarships

Amount not published · Published award terms

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Based on cumulative college/university GPA; if 15 credits or fewer, based on combination of high school GPA, curriculum, and college GPA

Eligibility: 16+ semester credit hours for the college-GPA grid; $1,000 of the award requires living on campus

Renewal: Students must be attending full-time and be making Satisfactory Academic Progress for renewal of Muskingum Awards and Awards of Circumstance.

Other terms: Transfer grid is published only as an image (Transfer Scholarships 24.png) so dollar tiers could not be extracted. Page notes the grid is 'the minimum yearly academic scholarship you will be awarded upon confirmation of transcript information.'

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Outside scholarships reduce loans and/or work-study first; institutional grants are only reduced if required to prevent an over-award.

The research date is not a guarantee that a policy still applies. Confirm current amounts, deadlines and conditions with the school before making a financial decision.
