Oberlin
Decision sheet

Ohio · Research checked 2026-07-23 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Ohio liberal arts college and conservatory where merit is modest but real: a flat $10,000 Commitment Scholarship for every enrollee, a $25,000-per-year Midwest Merit award for 12 Midwestern states, plus academic and audition-based conservatory talent scholarships.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Treatment depends on the outside award type. Merit-based outside scholarships replace self-help (student loans and student employment) and leave Oberlin grants intact, provided total grants and scholarships stay within billed costs (tuition, room, dining, and fees). Need-based outside grants, entitlements, and benefits — including employer tuition benefits — replace Oberlin grants/scholarships dollar for dollar.
