Pacific (OR)
Decision sheet

Oregon · Research checked 2026-06-07 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

DRAFT: Pacific awards holistic, no-application academic scholarships advertised at up to $40,000/year (no published GPA/test grid), an invitation-only Pacesetter competition that can reach full tuition, a $2,000/year scholarship just for attending a Senior Preview Day, and a deep bench of talent awards with a March 1 deadline.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 6 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Pacific Merit Scholarships (Academic Scholarships)

Up to $40,000 · Variable or qualified amount

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

Eligibility: Holistic: 'eligibility is based on the strength of an applicant's academic record, as well as all materials submitted with the admission application.' Must be admitted to the Forest Grove undergraduate program (College of Arts & Sciences). No separate application. No GPA/test grid is published — do not assume one exists.

Renewal: Catalog: 'Most renewable institutional scholarships require students to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.' First-year recipients are eligible for renewable institutional aid for up to four academic years. No published per-award renewal GPA beyond SAP.

Other terms: Admissions pages advertise 'up to $40,000'; the 2025-2026 academic catalog describes Academic Scholarships as '$20,000 to $30,000 annually' and states 'Eligible students may receive only one of these scholarships.' Year mismatch flagged in Section C. Students are notified of eligibility at the time of admission.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Pacific caps aid at federally defined need / cost of attendance: outside scholarships can reduce financial aid awards if they exceed remaining need or push total aid over COA. Several big awards are either/or rather than stackable: students may receive only one Academic Scholarship; UCC Tuition Scholarship OR Academic Scholarship (whichever is higher); Oregon Promise Award replaces the transfer merit scholarship.

The research date is not a guarantee that a policy still applies. Confirm current amounts, deadlines and conditions with the school before making a financial decision.
