The starting point
Penn State World Campus has no merit grid — its 40+ donor-funded scholarships run through a single competitive application (FAFSA + 2.0 GPA required, residency-blind) whose 2026-27 deadline has already passed — while the biggest published discount is the Military Grant-in-Aid, which cuts undergraduate tuition to $383/credit ($133/credit after military Tuition Assistance).

Eligibility: Currently enrolled in a World Campus undergraduate degree program; FAFSA on file with the Office of Student Aid (international students may apply without a FAFSA); full-time or part-time (at least 6 credits per semester); first-time, returning, adult, military, and international students; one application covers all awards; some awards keyed to donor criteria (need, geography, academic or military status); Penn State employees receiving the educational benefit are not eligible; highly competitive
Renewal: Renewal terms not published on the pages opened; the application is annual ('The deadline to apply for the 2026–27 year has passed').
Other terms: More than 40 scholarships awarded to hundreds of undergraduates each year; approximately 25% of awards go to first-year students who complete the application; both Pennsylvania and non-Pennsylvania residents receive equal consideration. No dollar amounts are published on the public pages.
