Susquehanna
Decision sheet

Pennsylvania · Research checked 2026-06-03 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Every admitted student is automatically considered for a competitive academic merit scholarship of $40,000–$44,000/yr (no separate application), but the awards are holistic — Susquehanna publishes no GPA/test grid.

Selection beyond grades and scores. These awards are not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read each award's selection rules, application steps and dates. Meeting a minimum is not an award offer.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 8 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Academic Scholarships (First-Year)

$40,000-$44,000 · Published range

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Eligibility: Awarded on a competitive basis from an assessment of academic achievement and potential; no separate application required.

Renewal: Renewable for eight regular academic terms; reviewed annually by the Scholarship Selection Committee; must meet GPA requirements, be a responsible member of the community, and enroll full-time.

Other terms: Awarded without regard to family income. No published GPA/test grid — holistic.

Transfer Scholarships

Renewal: Renewable for up to eight regular academic terms (university scholarship renewal policy).

Other terms: Community-college transfers in Phi Theta Kappa receive a $5,000 scholarship in addition to the merit award; transfers with an associate degree receive an additional $2,500 (matriculation-timing restrictions apply — dual-enrollment associate degrees not eligible).

Alumni Scholarships

$2,500 · Published amount

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Outside scholarships are applied first to reduce loans and/or work-study (loan-first treatment), not to displace the merit grant. University scholarship + grant aid is capped at eight semesters. Named endowed (need-based) awards may be exchanged dollar-for-dollar with need-based aid. Add-on awards such as the Janet Weis writing scholarships may not exceed the total cost of tuition.
