Texas Wesleyan
Decision sheet

Texas · Research checked 2026-06-07 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

Texas Wesleyan awards automatic GPA-banded merit scholarships with every application (no SAT/ACT needed), lets students stack up to $2,000 more via Smarter U+ steps, and offers a Free Tuition Promise for Texas residents with full Pell eligibility.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 4 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Eligibility: Automatic with completed admission application; no SAT/ACT required

Renewal: Per the Scholarship Policy & Rules page: 'To be eligible to receive your institutional scholarships each year, you must maintain a 2.0 GPA and 67% pace (completion rate).'

Other terms: Dollar amounts are shown only in an image on the page (alt text: 'Merit Scholarships. Please Contact Financial Aid to see yours') and are not published in accessible text. The grid shown is labeled for students beginning in the 2025-2026 academic year, with award amounts determined by the 2024-2025 tuition rate — not the 2026-2027 target year.

Transfer Scholarships

Eligibility: Automatic with transfer application and transcripts

Renewal: Same institutional scholarship policy applies: 2.0 GPA and 67% pace per the Scholarship Policy & Rules page.

Other terms: The grid on the page is an image labeled '2024-2025 Transfer Scholarship Amounts' with 'Award amount is determined by 2023-2024 tuition rate' — two cycles behind the 2026-2027 target year; amounts not extractable from text.

Free Tuition Promise

Full tuition · Published coverage or package

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Smarter U+ money explicitly stacks on top of the academic scholarship. The one-time summer scholarship may NOT be combined with any other merit or institutional aid. COA is the cap on total aid. No published policy on outside/private scholarship displacement.
