Who this may suit: South Carolina residents who already qualify for Palmetto Fellows ($6,700/$7,500) and want to add Clemson's Resident Merit + LIFE Scholarship layer; the layered package can effectively cover most of in-state tuition for a strong Palmetto Fellow. Out-of-state high-stat applicants should target the National Scholars Program (full COA, ~30 winners/year) or the Lyceum Scholars ($60,000 over four years for any major). Both are competitive programs requiring separate applications and Honors College placement. Mid-stat OOS families should focus on the Out-of-State Tuition Scholarship, which is variable and donor-funded; Clemson does not publish a stat-driven OOS automatic ladder like Alabama or Mizzou.
