Dixie Tech
Decision sheet

Utah · Research checked 2026-07-02 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

DRAFT: Dixie Tech, a public technical college in St. George, Utah, publishes NO GPA/test-based merit scholarships — its institutional aid is need-based and program/cohort-based (Tech Success up to $2,000, Double Take up to $1,500, WCSD Pathway up to $1,100), all tuition-only, first-come until a cohort fills, and none of its institutional scholarships can be combined with each other.

Selection beyond grades and scores. These awards are not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read each award's selection rules, application steps and dates. Meeting a minimum is not an award offer.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 7 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Tech Success Scholarship

Up to $2,000 (tuition only; up to $1,000 for some cohorts) · Variable or qualified amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Eligibility: Need-based. Must be enrolled in a qualifying program cohort (for Aug 17, 2026: up to $2,000 for Information Technology, Mobile App Development, Digital Design, Practical Nursing; up to $1,000 for CRM Systems, Pharmacy Technician). Must apply for financial aid (FAFSA) and complete a Dixie Tech scholarship application. Full Pell Grant recipients and high school students do NOT qualify.

Renewal: One-time cohort-based tuition scholarship tied to a specific program start date; page states it is 'only available until a cohort is full'. Continued eligibility for any College scholarship requires satisfactory progress (67%) and attendance (85%).

Other terms: Tuition only — no cash value; cannot be used for program fees, books, supplies, or tools. Cannot be combined with any other Dixie Tech scholarship. Available only until the cohort fills.

Double Take Scholarship

Up to $1,500 (tuition only; $1,000 or $500 tiers for some programs) · Variable or qualified amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Eligibility: Must be a Dixie Tech graduate (complete a program at Dixie Tech) and be accepted into a second program. Must apply for financial aid and complete a Dixie Tech scholarship application. Full Pell Grant recipients and high school students are not eligible. Up to $1,500 for 17 listed programs (incl. Information Technology, Practical Nursing, Welding, Culinary Arts, etc.); up to $1,000 for CRM Systems and Pharmacy Technician; up to $500 for Advanced EMT.

Renewal: Limited to one award per student, regardless of the number of programs completed or attempted.

Other terms: First-come, first-served until cohort is full; tuition only, no cash value, cannot cover fees/books/supplies/tools; cannot be combined with any other Dixie Tech scholarship.

Pathway Scholarship — CTE Graduate Scholarship (WCSD CTE Pathway completers)

$1,100 (up to; tuition only) · Variable or qualified amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Eligibility: Graduate from a Washington County School District (WCSD) high school AND complete a WCSD CTE pathway; enroll in a Dixie Tech program with 15 credit hours or more; apply for financial aid and complete the Pathway Scholarship form. Space is limited. Full Pell Grant recipients may not be eligible.

Renewal: Not stated as renewable; continued eligibility for any College scholarship requires satisfactory progress (67%) and attendance (85%).

Other terms: Qualification is automatic by WCSD graduation + CTE pathway completion (not by GPA/test scores), but a Pathway Scholarship form and financial aid application are required, and space is limited — so automaticOnStats is false. Tuition only; cannot be combined with other Dixie Tech scholarships.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Dixie Tech institutional scholarships cannot be combined with each other — one Dixie Tech scholarship per student. Full Pell Grant recipients are excluded from Tech Success and Double Take and 'may not be eligible' for the Pathway Scholarship (the school's awards backfill behind Pell rather than stack on top of it). Tech Success, Double Take, and Pathway awards are tuition-only with no cash value. The pages do not address how OUTSIDE/private scholarships are treated.
