  2. The page uses the word 'around' for the GPA requirements (e.g., 'around 3.8 GPA and rank near top 20%'). Tier placement is calculated from submitted transcript data and both GPA and class rank are evaluated together.

  3. Transcripts for both Presidential and Blue and Gold Freshman scholarships must be postmarked by February 15. Transcripts submitted after that date will not be considered for a change in tier. Rank is calculated at the time of admission for transcripts received without rank on or before February 1.

  4. The President's Promise covers only tuition — fees are explicitly NOT covered and will be billed separately. It is not a full COA scholarship.

  5. The Texas Resident On-Campus COA is $24,004, of which tuition and fees (at 15 credit hours) total $10,026. The President's Promise covers tuition only, not fees, housing, food, books, or indirect costs.

  6. The Honors College admissions page states: 'Admission to the Honors College does not automatically accompany a scholarship/fellowship offer.' The Fellowship requires a completed application by January 25, 2026 and is limited (50 students for Fall 2025).

  7. Any outside scholarship or corporate sponsorship must be reported via the Outside Resource Form. Failure to do so could result in required repayment of previously disbursed institutional aid if the student is found to be over-awarded.

  8.   9. The undergraduate scholarships page explicitly states: 'Students enrolled in a 100% online program and/or pursuing a competency-based education (CBE/TAB) degree are not eligible for East Texas A&M scholarships.'

  10. Both the Presidential and Blue and Gold scholarships require enrollment in AND completion of at least 15 credit hours of East Texas A&M coursework each fall and spring semester. Falling below 15 hours would affect renewal eligibility.

  11. Under Texas law and East Texas A&M policy, a non-resident (or international) student who receives a competitive academic scholarship of at least $1,000 (one competed for against Texas residents and awarded by a recognized ETAMU committee) may qualify for an out-of-state tuition waiver that lowers tuition from the non-resident to the Texas-resident rate for the covered semesters. Caveat: the automatic rank/GPA merit tiers (Presidential, Blue and Gold) are stat-based, not competitive, so they may not by themselves trigger the waiver.
