Do I have to apply separately for EKU merit scholarships?
No. For in-state, on-campus, first-time freshmen, 'merit scholarships will automatically be applied to your account. No application needed!' You just need to apply for admission and be admitted. The award is set by your unweighted high-school GPA (and optional test score for the Regent's Award).
What's the deadline?
Official EKU pages cite a March 1 merit-scholarship and admission consideration deadline and a June 1 last-day-to-accept; one school-channel source cites April 15 to receive and June 30 to upgrade. Confirm the exact 2026-27 dates with Big E Central (859-622-2361) before relying on them.
Can I combine the merit scholarship with other awards?
