Reinhardt
Decision sheet

Georgia · Research checked 2026-06-07 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

DRAFT: Reinhardt's headline merit awards are capped-count competitive scholarships — eight $10,000 Presidentials (3.75+ GPA) and thirty $3,000 Diverse Talents awards (2.7+ GPA, residential) — layered over a first-come, first-served United Methodist (Hagan) scholarship program worth up to $12,000 in tuition-only aid.

Selection beyond grades and scores. These awards are not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read each award's selection rules, application steps and dates. Meeting a minimum is not an award offer.

Awards to discuss

First 3 of 5 recorded awards, in chapter display order. This is a selection, not a ranking. Read the full chapter for all awards. Amounts retain the original units and conditions; confirm the entering year with the school.

Presidential Scholarship

$10,000 · Published amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

GPA: High school GPA of 3.75 or above

Eligibility: Engagement in service to others; primary educational goal in liberal arts and sciences or high-need areas such as cybersecurity and nursing; eight awarded annually; priority to residential students not receiving other talent aid

Renewal: Renewal terms not stated on the page.

Other terms: Reinhardt's highest academic award. The page states these 'can be coupled with another merit award.'

$3,000 · Published amount

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

Eligibility: Must live in residential housing; 30 total awards; application required

Renewal: Renewal terms not stated on the page.

Other terms: Annual scholarship recognizing leadership ('influencers, entrepreneurs, and adventurers').

Mary Jane Reinhardt Sharp Scholarship

Amount not published · Published award terms

Not recorded as automatic on grades and scores. Read the selection rules.

GPA: Admitted students with a 2.5 or higher high school GPA are eligible to apply (as currently printed on the page — see note)

Eligibility: Application required; learning community and leadership development program participation

Renewal: Renewal terms not stated on the page.

Other terms: CAUTION: the page's Sharp Scholarship text is word-for-word identical to the Lettie Pate Whitehead entry ('supports Christian women leaders on campus ... 2.5 or higher'), which appears to be a copy-paste error; a Reinhardt news page surfaced in search describes Sharp as the second-highest academic award at 3.2+ GPA, but that was not verified on an opened page. Confidence: needs confirmation.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: Reinhardt publishes award-specific combination rules rather than a general policy: the Presidential Scholarship 'can be coupled with another merit award' (but priority goes to students NOT receiving other talent aid); students may hold only ONE Reinhardt-funded United Methodist (Hagan) scholarship, and Hagan awards are tuition-only; outside/private scholarship displacement is not addressed on the page.
