Robert Morris (PA)
Decision sheet

Pennsylvania · Research checked 2026-07-02 · School research, not an aid offer

The starting point

RMU awards its merit scholarships automatically from your weighted high-school GPA alone — no test scores, no separate application — with first-year awards from $11,000 to $28,000 per year for Fall 2026.

More than one award path. Some awards use published academic thresholds. Others have different selection criteria. A score chart does not describe every award at this school.

Awards to discuss

RMU Merit Scholarships — Undergraduate first-year applicants (Fall 2026)

$11,000-$28,000 · Published range

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Weighted GPA tiers: 3.8+ = $28,000; 3.40-3.79 = $26,000; 3.10-3.39 = $23,000; 2.70-3.09 = $19,000; 2.50-2.69 = $13,000; <2.50 = $11,000

Eligibility: Awarded through the Office of Admissions based on official, weighted GPA at the point of admission; RMU reserves the right to recalculate weighted GPAs using its internal method.

Renewal: Full time students may receive the above listed institutional scholarships for a maximum of four years as long as an overall 2.0 GPA is maintained. Fully online students are not eligible.

Other terms: Test scores are not part of the published grid. Every admitted first-year tier, including weighted GPA below 2.50, carries a published dollar amount.

RMU Merit Scholarships — Undergraduate transfer applicants (Fall 2026)

$10,000-$20,000 · Published range

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Transfer college GPA tiers: above 3.75 = $20,000; 3.6-3.74 = $19,000; 3.25-3.59 = $17,000; 2.7-3.24 = $15,000; below 2.69 = $10,000

Eligibility: Based off of a cumulative total GPA calculation from all colleges attended.

Renewal: Full time students may receive the above listed institutional scholarships for a maximum of four years as long as an overall 2.0 GPA is maintained.

Other terms: Separate automatic grid from the first-year chart; based on cumulative GPA across all colleges attended.

International Student Scholarships — International Freshman Applicants

$11,000-$28,000 · Published range

Recorded as automatic on academic criteria; all conditions apply.

GPA: Weighted GPA tiers identical to domestic freshman grid: 3.8+ = $28,000 down to <2.50 = $11,000

Eligibility: Awarded at the point of acceptance. Students without a calculated cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale must provide a NACES Foreign Transcript Evaluation with a calculated U.S. cumulative GPA to be considered.

Renewal: Same institutional-scholarship renewal language applies on the page: maximum of four years with an overall 2.0 GPA maintained (stated for the institutional scholarships listed above on the same page).

Other terms: Undergraduate international students only; graduate international students are not eligible for academic scholarships or RMU funding.

Ask before you decide

  1. Which entering-year policy and residency category apply to us? What are the admission and scholarship deadlines?
  2. What grades and credits are required to renew, and for how many terms?
  3. How would other school awards or outside scholarships change the offer?

Recorded stacking policy: RMU caps total institutionally funded aid at the student's direct costs (billed charges), so institutional scholarships and grants can never exceed what RMU bills you. The pages do not state how outside/private scholarships are treated when added on top.
