Oklahoma Christian (OC) Merit Aid

1. Assuming the renewal GPA equals the entry GPA.+

   Each tier has its own continuing-eligibility GPA (Trustee's 3.0 down to Maroon & Gray 2.0), and 'Academic eligibility requirements apply after the first semester' — the very first semester counts.

2. Athletes expecting to stack institutional awards on an athletic scholarship.+

   'Additional institutional scholarships may not be eligible to be stacked with athletic scholarships' — though traditional academic and transfer scholarships are explicitly excepted.

3. Treating the Heritage Guarantee or Sister School Discount as extra money on top of the grid.+

   The Heritage Guarantee delivers 50% tuition 'through multiple OC scholarships,' and the Sister School Discount is '50% off tuition including all OC aid' — both are package targets, not stand-alone additions.

4. Need-based families not anticipating OC Grant reductions.+

   The OC Grant is 'Based on Need - reduced as additional aid is added' — new scholarships can shrink the grant.

5. Skipping the test when a score could jump two tiers.+

   A 3.5 no-test student gets the $8,000 Dean's; the same student with a 31 ACT/1390 SAT/94 CLT gets the $14,000 Trustee's. OC also notes 'A higher test score may offset a lower GPA.'

6. Missing August 1 paperwork deadlines.+

   Both the Church Match Scholarship and the Sister School Discount applications are due August 1.

7. National Merit Finalists not naming OC first.+

   The full tuition + fees + room + meal-plan package requires you to 'select OC as your first-choice university to the National Merit Corporation' and then keep a 3.0 GPA; tuition coverage is capped at 17 credit hours per semester.
