What families often miss

  1. The page warns: 'acceptance into Stillman College does not guarantee one of the scholarships below. Scholarship dollars are limited; thus, Stillman College reserves the right, without notice, to limit (or not offer) any one of the scholarships.'

  2. The table footnote is explicit: '* Award applies to tuition and on-campus housing only.'

  3. The catalog caps academic scholarships: 'The scholarships awarded cannot exceed full tuition and fees,' and this applies to combinations with tuition remission 'or other awards from the College or any other source.'

  4. Every tier is 'Up to' a maximum ($10,000/$6,000/$4,000/$1,000) — actual awards can be smaller.

  5. 'If you receive an outside scholarship, please advise our office immediately. Scholarship notices must be submitted on official letterhead from the donating organization.'

Verified policy language (2026-07-02): In awarding financial aid to students, all sources of financial aid available to students will be considered in determining the financial aid award package through the College, including institutional and external scholarships. Students will not be awarded financial aid in excess of the amount needed to cover tuition, room and board, books and supplies, personal expenses, and other direct and indirect educational expenses as determined by the College.

  • What is the scholarship deadline?

    No deadline is published for the merit-based awards — admitted students are considered automatically from their credentials, but dollars are limited. Academic/Endowment (AwardSpring) scholarships use the portal's own deadlines.

  • Do I need a separate application for merit scholarships?

    The financial-aid website says 'No internal application is needed' and every admitted student is considered; the college catalog, however, says 'Students must apply for these scholarships online' — confirm with the aid office which is current.

  • How much can I get?

    Presidential: up to $10,000/yr (3.8+ GPA); Eye of the Tiger: up to $6,000/yr (3.5+); Blue Elite: up to $4,000/yr (3.0+); Transfer: up to $1,000/yr (3.0+). All apply to tuition and on-campus housing only and are not guaranteed.

  • What does Stillman cost?

    For AY 2025-2026 the published total for tuition (12-18 hours, $10,536), mandatory fees ($2,164), full meal plan ($4,916), and a single room ($5,984) is $23,600 per year. 2026-27 rates were not posted at the time of review.

  • Can international students get aid?

    Federal/state aid and need-based aid are unavailable to international students, but they 'may be considered for departmental awards not restricted to U.S. citizenship.'
